Excursion to the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) and Panmunjeom, Korea, AUGUST, 2006
We had to get up at 5 am to go to the USO in Seoul for the USO tour Bus. The bonus was while waiting for the Bus, I had an American Breakfast of an omelet, bacon, hash brown potatoes, toast and coffee.
At the American Base before proceeding to the DMZ and Panmunjeom
Spc. 4 Naumenkov was our guide and protection. When asked where he was from in the U.S., he revealed he was from Russia and joined the U.S. Army on coming to America.
Panmunjeom, where the peace talks still take place in the small building on the right (with guard standing half behind the building to provide a smaller target in case the North Koreans decide to fire weapons). The large building in the rear is the North Korean Visitors Center.
Eunice and Terry in the building where the two sides meet. Both Eunice and Terry are standing in North Korea.
