Excursions to Ptuj, Slovenia, Kumrovec, Croatia (Tito's Home Town) Base 20 (WW II Partisan Base 20) in Slovenia
Ptuj is just past the yellow road split south-east of Maribor toward Zagreb. Kumrovec is northeast of Zagreb, nearly on the Slovene-Croatian border directly east of the road in the map north of Zagreb that changes from brown to yellow in color. Base 20 is in Slovenia approximately where the "a" is in Slovenia.
Ptuj, a short distance from Maribor toward Zagreb. Below is the house that was Gestapo HQ in WW II. The plaque commemorates those who were tortured and killed by the Nazi's in this building.

The Mithras Shrine was found near Ptuj, and two items unearthed by a local stonemason were found hanging in his shed, from on of the Mithraian Temples. For more information on Mithraism, see:
