Short Bio
I have been working in the University library since 1989, first as a subject librarian for Social Sciences, and from 1993 as the exchange librarian in Department of Foreign Acquisition - Slavic division. At my present job I am responsible for acquisition of monographic publications in Slavic languages, international cooperationwith over 60 libraries, surveillance of Slavic editorial activities, and financial management of book fund.

It is a great honour for me to be among ICIMSS' students and I welcome the idea to establish such an international learning centre for information management. For the most information professionals the big challenge today is to learn about new opportunities that IT can give: how to assess options, and how to manage the impact of new IT-based products and services.
We had also the great opportunity to perceive the fact that in many of the larger aspects of librarianship the problems are universal, rather than local, and require cooperative, rather than individual, planning and action; all this thanks to the possibility to communicate and share the experience with our lecturers and colleagues from other countries.
I wish a lot of success to the all ICIMSS' students and lecturers.
