Photos of Ljubljana, October, 2005
Prior to going to Portoroz for the Library Association Conference, I visited Ljubljana and took a walking tour. Two of the more famous landmarks of Ljubljana are The Castle and the National University Library. The latter has the trademark stone brick texture of the most prominent Slovene architect, Joze Plecnik.

A memorial to those who were killed by the partisans at the end of WW II. Slovenia was divided between socialists and nationalists and many nationalists as well as socialists were executed during the political battles

Families were in the Cemetery preparing the graves with new gravel and flowers for the holiday
