My tour guide in Bratislava was Petra, a student of economics, and daughter
of one of the librarians in Bratislava
The Grassalkovich Palace (the Slovakian White House) where the President of The Slovak Republic resides.
Behind the Presidential Palace in Bratislava is a pub called "The Presidential Pub"
Selections of photos of presidents from various countries are hung there. Here is
the one of President Clinton. (Well, they could have chosen a worse one for public display!)
Slovak Post Office sculpture at entrance to old town.
The memorial to the 1944 Slovak Uprising against the Nazi's
St. Michael's Tower in the Old Town of Bratislava, once used as
a watch tower to protect the town.
Just down from the Tower is a building in which Mozart is said to have performed
And near by is another building where Franz Liszt performed
The building on the left is the Primate's Palace, where Napoleon signed the Peace of Pressburg treaty with the Austrian Emperor Franz I after the Battle of Austerlitz. The building to the rear is the Old Town Hall of Bratislava.
